“We carried out raids, people who had rifles in their homes, groups of 10, 12 rifles linked to acts of violence that they planned to generate, and that they generated in the last elections of July 28,” he said during a press conference.

He reiterated that “The United States government is linked to this operation Because in the investigation we have found out that in Orlando, Florida, in the parcel services, the FBI was there. We have that video.”

Two Spanish citizens arrested

In this context, Diosdado Cabello announced that two Spanish citizens were also arrested and accused of being involved in the alleged plan to carry out “terrorist acts” against Maduro.

The Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not yet confirmed this fact. The nationals of that country respond to the names of José María Basoa and Andrés Martínez Adasne. Both were captured in Puerto Ayacucho.

Cabello said that both were linked to the political party Vente Venezuela and the Spanish National Intelligence Centre. A Czech citizen and a Venezuelan woman were also among those arrested.
