75 families to benefit from Home Improvement Grants
Some 75 families in North-East Trinidad will soon be able to improve their homes when they receive Home Improvement Grants from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
The beneficiaries from North-East Trinidad will receive their grants on October 1, 2024, at a distribution ceremony carded to take place at Upper Malabar Community Centre, Malabar Main Road, Malabar, Arima.
According to the Ministry, the Home Improvement Grant (HIG) Programme, which is administered by its Housing Policy Facilitation and Implementation Unit (HPFIU), provides grants valued up to $15,000 to low-income families and individuals to improve their current living conditions.
Minister Camille Robinson-Regis will deliver the Feature Address at the Grants distribution ceremony. In addition, both the Minister in the Housing Ministry Adrian Leonce MP, and the Member of Parliament for D’Abadie/O’Meara, Lisa Morris-Julian, Minister in the Ministry of Education, will be present for the distribution.
