Two murdered in Maloney in separate incidents

Two men were murdered on Friday night in two separate shootings in Maloney Gardens. 

In the first case, police reported that an unidentified man was found dead after residents heard gunshots at Building 5 around 10:45 PM. The report added that the man was on the third floor when the gunshots were heard, and he was found bleeding. Emergency health services were called, and the man was declared dead on arrival at the Arima General Hospital. 

About 15 minutes later, Cyril Greaves, 30, of Building 11 Maloney Gardens, was murdered. Police said Greaves, who also had an address in Eastern Quarry, Laventille, was found dead after residents reported hearing gunshots in the area. Greaves had been shot twice in the head. 

Police could not determine a motive for the two killings or whether they were connected.
