Women leaders from Central America support Maria Corina Machado

A diverse group of women leaders from Central America expressed their support for the Venezuelan political leader Maria Corina Machadothrough a video released this Saturday, September 21 on social media.

They described Machado as a tireless and inspiring fighter against the Nicolás Maduro regime. “She has managed to make her message transcend and to unite the democrats of the world in her favor. María Corina, you should know that in Central America we also hear your voice.”

María Corina Machado thanked the support and shared the content on her social networks. She assured that the values ​​that unite women in Latin America and in the world are truth, life, family, solidarity, goodness and freedom.

“Women from all sectors, with different ideas and backgrounds, join their voices and forces to our cause for democracy and freedom in Venezuela. Thank you,” the opposition leader posted.

The video featured the participation of Costa Rican leaders Laura Chinchilla, former president and member of the IDEA Group; the deputies Kattia Cambronero, Monserrat Ruiz, Andrea Álvarez, Gloria Navas; María Florez-Estrada, social communicator; Alexandra Kissling, businesswoman; Ana Elena Chacón, former vice president; Claudia Dobles, former first lady; Yanancy Noguera, journalist; Marlene Mora, president of the Women in Politics Forum; Yanancy Noguera, journalist; activist Abril Gordienko, and Elizabeth Odio Benito, former president of the IACHR.

Other contributors included Isabel de Saint Malo, former vice president of Panama; Lu Argueta, activist from El Salvador; Gina Kawas, public policy expert from Honduras; Ana Margarita Vigil, activist and exile from Nicaragua; Claudia Vargas, sociologist and refugee from Nicaragua; Kitty Montenegro, president of Citizens for Liberty in Nicaragua; Edipsia Dubón, former congresswoman and refugee from Nicaragua; Olinda Salguero, communicator from Guatemala; and Ericka Mouynes, former foreign minister of Panama.
