French Warship Visits T&T

It’s the first time in five years a French vessel has docked in Trinidad and Tobago as French naval frigate the Ventose docked at the Port of Port of Spain on Tuesday.

Present for the visit was French Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, Dedier Chabert, who said the Ventose, which is based in Martinique, is one of the largest ships in the Caribbean. He explained that the vessel is designed to intervene against drug trafficking.

The Port call is also a display of the cooperation between the French and Trinidad and Tobago and will work closely with this country’s National Security personnel.
