The leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, will hold a meeting with the Venezuelan opposition leader Edmundo Gonzalez in Congress on Wednesday, as announced on Monday by the secretary general and vice president of Vox, Ignacio Garriga.

At a press conference, Garriga explained that Abascal and González, who has sought asylum in Spain after the elections in Venezuela on July 28, had a conversation last Friday in which they agreed to meet on Wednesday. Vox has stated that the meeting will take place in Congress, but has not yet given the time.

Garriga has highlighted the actions launched by Vox to defend the victory of Edmundo González in the Venezuelan elections, which declared President Nicolás Maduro the winner amid accusations of fraud.
