64 New COVID-19 Cases, Government Makes Another Call For Vaccine Equity

The number of Positive COVID-19 cases has jumped by 64.

According to the update from the Ministry of Health, one of the new Positive cases is a repatriated person.

The latest figures bring the total number of Active Cases to 712. The number of deaths remain at 150.

The Ministry says the new cases reflect results from samples taken during the period April 13th to April 15th.

Eighty patients are at hospital, while 327 people remain in State quarantine facilities. To date, 15,425 people have been vaccinated.

Earlier this week, it was announced that the 2nd phase of the COVID-19 vaccine roll out would begin tomorrow.

Parliamentarians and their spouses and persons under the Ministry of National Security will be among those vaccinated in this second phase.
