Diosdado Cabello, Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace, accused the opposition leader María Corina Machado to be behind the project Almost Venezuela, which aims to raise 10 million dollars for the reestablishment of democracy in Venezuela.

«Who was behind that operation? María Corina Machado,” she stated, without showing evidence, the leader during his program With the hammer giving, broadcast through the Chavista channel Venezolana de Televisión.

According to Cabello, who is also vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, this information was “confirmed” by former commissioner of scientific research Iván Simonovis.

Machado has not admitted having participation in Almost Venezuela nor has it motivated Venezuelans to make economic contributions. Simonovis, for his part, has not involved the opposition in this project, promoted by American military businessman Erik Prince.

«First, it is a failure; second, “They are scammers,” expressed Cabello.

«A tun tun operation is coming»

Cabello also threatened with “operation tun tun” to those who donated to Ya Almost Venezuela.

«A tun tun operation is coming for those who donated money to the ‘Almost Venezuela’ platform. That friend of mine already has the information of those who deposited. Although, according to Iván Simonovis, he is no longer involved,” he said.

He also issued a warning against María Corina Machado: “That lady, who keeps asking for the invasion of this country, has to be clear that if it happens, the first one we will go for will be her.”

Tarek William Saab, Maduro’s attorney general, assured on Tuesday that had the names of several donors and accused them of being accomplices.

«They call the platform ‘Almost Venezuela’, where we are doing the corresponding study at a legal level. They are committing crimes even within the United States and on the continental and global sphere,” he said at a press conference.

«The accomplices who give the money participate in both national and transnational crime”, Saab accused.
