BREAKING NEWS! 7 GANGSTERS FEATURED BY CHRIS MUST LIST ARRESTED IN TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO.

News according to DAILY EXPRESS NEWSPAPER;
Seven men arrested yesterday morning in connection with gang-related activities may have been held after videos recently posted on social media sites like YouTube showed them brandishing firearms and admitting to their roles in criminal gangs.
This was disclosed by Minister of National Security Fitzgerald Hinds last evening.
Hinds called TV6 News to respond to statements made by criminologist Dr Randy Seepersad earlier yesterday on the TV station’s Morning Edition programme, in which he raised questions about what the Police Service was doing regarding the persons depicted in several videos that have been posted in recent months by foreign nationals, in which alleged gang members have been interviewed and admitted to crimes as well as holding firearms.

Hinds said the State and the Police Service had taken note of the recordings and the persons in them, and had connected several of those people to illegal activities.

He noted the seven men who had been detained yesterday morning in connection with gang-related activities. “So the authorities are taking action,” Hinds said.

Seven men were arrested by officers of the North Central Division, under the supervision of Senior Superintendent Richard Smith, in an operation that ran from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. yesterday. The officers searched several communities, including Arouca, Tunapuna and St Joseph. In total, seven arrest warrants were executed.

The exercise led to the arrests of a 24-year-old man from Enterprise, Chaguanas; a 22-year-old man from Tunapuna; a 25-year-old man from Curepe; and a 24-year-old man from Five Rivers, Arouca, for enquiries by police in relation to shootings.
