Monteávila University celebrates 25 years of academic activity

On October 4, Monteávila University celebrates 25 years of academic activity with students, throughout which The educational proposal of the institution is marked by the preeminence of the personits desire for growth and innovation.

Monteávila University is a community of people that trains professionals who believe that the person is always the most important thing. Following the motto of its shield, Supra Montem Posita (placed on the mountain), it aspires to be at the top to be a light that illuminates the lives of people and society with its science, and to project its light on its fruits, which are its graduates, its scientific production and its
social impact.

It currently has more than 4,800 graduates, teaches 4 undergraduate courses, 10 postgraduate specializations, has signed nearly 30 national and international agreements and develops teaching, research and specialized extension activities through 15 active study centers.

What is the educational offer of Monteávila University?

Monteávila University began its undergraduate teaching activity with four majors: Social Communication, Education, Administrative Sciences and Law. Today it maintains the offer in these disciplines and awaits the approval of new faculties and programs by the Ministry of Popular Power for University Education.

Its postgraduate offering includes 10 specializations in the areas of Law, Communication, Education and Project Management. The university is also awaiting approval of its new fourth-level programs by the governing body.

All programs, both those leading to a degree and the wide range of professional development, are characterized by responding to training needs in new fields that arise thanks to technological development and the integration of fields that define the contemporary world.

Starting in 2023, the Monteávila University undertakes the project to expand its campus with the Lomas del Sol building, which adds more than 12 thousand square meters to the Boleíta facilities and will significantly increase its academic, cultural, sports and recreational offering.

In September of this year, regular academic activities began in the Lomas del Sol building: 30% of undergraduate students have their classes in this building, while the remaining 70% have them in the main building located in Boleíta. Progressively, more undergraduate students will develop their academic activity in Lomas del Sol.

Under the slogan 25 years to the top, the university will develop celebration activities for its twenty-fifth anniversary during the period October 2024-October 2025.
