Electrical mega-sag affected several areas of the country

A mega electrical downturn was felt throughout Venezuela in the afternoon hours of this Monday. Around 3:00 pm a fluctuation in the country’s power distribution system left dark to several areas of Venezuela.

On social networks, citizens have been reporting the incidence. The Victory; Aragua state; Valencia; San Francisco de Yare; Guacara, Carabobo state; Cabudare, Barquisimeto, Lara state.

Also in Puerto Cabello, Nueva Esparta, Cojedes; Zulia; Barinas; Bolivar; Anzoategui. In Caracas, several areas were left in darkness. The impact was felt in the four municipalities of the capital. Hours after the mega-slump there are sectors without electricity.

Electrical service in Venezuela

In NTA throughout September we documented the electrical failures that occurred in Venezuela (and with great frequency in Caracas), registering a total of 27 incidents in this service.

After the July 28 elections, the massive failures seem to have returned. On August 28, several areas of Venezuela They were left in the dark or had electrical fluctuations. That day, the minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabellodenounced sabotage by the opposition against the country’s freight system.

Electrical failures in states of the country have been constant for years. However, after the presidential elections, massive failures have begun to affect the capital on a recurring basis. Electrical fluctuations have been felt on a weekly basis. Almost all of them have occurred during the hours of the late.
