María Corina Machado and Edmundo González celebrated this Wednesday that the head of the Carter Center mission, Jennie Lincoln, showed before the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States the minutes that confirm the defeat of Nicolás Maduro in the presidential election on July 28 .

«The minutes were handed over to the OAS.. The world knows what happened on July 28; Now you have the truth in your hands. We are going to liberate Venezuela. We are moving forward,” Machado expressed in a message published in X.

González assured that Venezuelans recognize “the commitment” of Jennie Lincoln of the Carter Center for having the courage to show the voting records and explain their value within the framework of recognizing the truth.

«The minutes represent the sovereign will of the Venezuelan people. And that is what the Carter Center shows the world today,” added the opposition leader in X.

«These minutes are the key»

Jennie Lincoln, from the Carter Center, showed at the OAS a batch of real, physical records of the July 28 elections in Venezuela. During his presentation he assured that they were analyzed by the opposition and by independent international missions.

«These minutes are the key… they show that they are the original minutes of July 28 and they give Edmundo González as the winner with more than 60% of the votes,” said Lincoln.

The main advisor of the Carter Center assured that the system is electronic and they have paper evidence: “These were the minutes that thousands of witnesses collected and that show that the CNE result is not credible.”
