Through a Notice To Airmen (Notam), the government of Panama reported that temporarily suspended flights general aviation, commercial, charter, cargo and postal mail service to and from Venezuela.

Aircraft with Venezuelan registration will not be able to land or take off in the country’s airspace as of September 30, in accordance with the measure.

“General aviation, commercial, charter, cargo and postal mail service flights to and from the Republic of Panama with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela are temporarily suspended,” notes Notam A0935/24.

Suspension of flights to Panama, Dominican Republic and Peru

Venezuela renewed the suspension of commercial flights to Panama, Peru and the Dominican Republic until October 30according to Notam A0751/25 shared on social networks by aeronautical lawyer Rodolfo Ruiz.

The Higher Council of Tourism of Venezuela (Conseturismo) warned the State that maintaining the measures to suspend international flights to and from our country on these three important air routes will bring serious consequences to the sector.

“The effects will continue to severely affect its normal and productive operation and could put jobs and the economic reactivation of the country at risk,” said a statement from the organization.

The measure to suspend flights, in addition to generating uncertainty and economic damage, drastically limits the mobility of Venezuelans and restricts the flow of tourists to the country.

“The image of Venezuela as a tourist destination is seriously affected, discouraging tourism supply, foreign investment and making it difficult to promote our heritage attractions, reducing the competitiveness of our sector in the international tourism market,” he concludes.
