Former heads of the governments of Spain and Latin America will discuss the situation in Venezuela in Miami

More than a dozen former heads of the government of Spain and Latin America will address the situation in Venezuela during the ninth edition of the Presidential Dialogue forum, which will be held on October 17 in the city of Miami (Florida, USA).

The event will have as its starting point Democracy, citizenship, migration and Venezuela 2024, according to Grupo Idea, one of the organizers of the forum, which will take place at the Wolfson campus of Miami Dade College (MDC).

The former presidents who will address the situation in Venezuela

Among those who have confirmed their participation in the event are the former heads of the Spanish government José María Aznar, of the People’s Party (PP), and Felipe González, from the Spanish Socialist Workers Party (PSOE) and who governed the country between 1982 and 1996.

Former Costa Rican presidents José María Figueres, Miguel Ángel Rodríguez and Laura Chinchilla will also be present, as will the former presidents of Ecuador Jamil Mahuad and Osvaldo Hurtado, and of Panama Javier Martínez-Acha and Mireya Moscoso.

Mario Abdo (Paraguay), Vicente Fox (Mexico), Andrés Pastrana (Colombia) and Jorge Tuto Quiroga (Bolivia) will be other former heads of state who will attend the ninth edition of this meeting, organized by the Atlantic Institute of Government and the MDC.

As in previous editions, the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, will also participate in this forum.
