Cunupia man killed identified as Denesh Lal

The man who was killed at a mini-mart in Cunupia yesterday has been identified as Denesh Lal.

The truck driver, aged 46, lived at Ragoonanan Road, Cunupia.

Reports indicate Lal had just entered Sons Mini Mart at Ragoonanan Road around 6.20 pm when a masked gunman exited a Nissan Note, entered the store and fired at Lal.

He died at the scene.

A 48-year-old man who lived nearby and was inside the shop at the time, was shot in the left hip.

He was taken to hospital by a relative where he was treated and warded in a stable condition.
