Police officers rescued 11 female Venezuelan nationals during an operation on Tuesday, the TTPS has confirmed.

Officers arrested three suspects—two males and one female—believed to be linked to a human trafficking ring operating in the Cunupia area.

The operation took place between 3:40 pm and 8:05 pm at a residence on Ragoonanan Road.

During the operation, police officers found 11 individuals allegedly being held against their will. The Central Divisional Task Force (Area North) and the Counter Trafficking Unit supported the mission, which also led to the seizure of several items.

The three suspects remain in custody while the Immigration Department will assist the victims, who are now receiving the necessary support services.
