87 Police Officers In Central Division Quarantined



Confirmation from National Security Minister that 87 police officers attached to the Central Division of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service are currently quarantined as a result of COVID-19 contact tracing.

The matter was addressed during the question and answer period of Friday’s sitting of the House of Representatives.

Minister Young also confirmed that three of the police officers have tested Positive for the virus.

The quarantined police officers are assigned to the Freeport, Couva and Chaguanas Police Stations. However, The National Security Minister assured this will not affect operations in the Central Division.
