3.9 Earthquake shakes Trinidad, again

The University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (SRC) has confirmed that yet another earthquake–the fourth in 72 hours– has shaken parts of the country.

According to the SRC, the 3.9 magnitude quake was recorded around 12:15pm today, Wednesday at a depth of 12 km.

It was reportedly located 66 km North West of Port of Spain, 86 km North West of Arima and 106 km North West of San Fernando.

Just two days ago on October 7, the country was rattled by three earthquakes in less than 12 hours.

The first was recorded at 3:38am that morning with a magnitude of 3.6

The second–with a magnitude of 5.1–was recorded some five hours later at 8:21am and the third for the day, recorded at 2:16pm, had a magnitude of 3.6
