Good news: Reservoir levels are increasing

Reservoir levels across the country have finally crossed the halfway mark–based on the Long Term Average (LTA) expected.

In an update on Thursday, the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) noted that to date, water levels at its Arena reservoir currently stand at 40.55 per cent or 102.9 feet. The LTA for this reservoir is 76.5 per cent or 113.3 feet.

Last week the reservoir stood at 37.07 per cent capacity, or 101.4 feet in depth.

Meantime, WASA’s Hollis reservoir has a current capacity of 42.57 per cent or 604.0 feet. It’s LTA stands at 74.80 per cent or 613.48 feet.

Last week Hollis stood at 31.83 per cent or 600 feet.

The current levels at the Navet reservoir in South Trinidad stand at 45.43 per cent or 296.6 feet. It’s expected LTA is 76.79  per cent or 306.4 feet.

Navet stood at 42.96 per cent or 295.9 feet last week.

Over at Tobago, WASA’s Hillsborough remains filled to capacity- 870 feet in depth (as it was one week ago).
