Chavismo calls to march this Saturday

The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, called on Chavismo to a march on Saturday to commemorate the Day of Indigenous Resistance, while saying that Spain committed a “genocide” in Latin America in the colonial era.

«On Saturday we are going to respond to the king of Spain, we are going to march (for) the indigenous resistance, of our own values, not theirs. “We are going to march,” said the also Minister of the Interior on his weekly television program.

Cabello maintained that the Spanish committed a “genocide” in Latin America, while saying that they “murdered” “good people, pure people.”

“They sent us the scum, the garbage, here, I laugh, because we are sending the same thing there,” he added.

On Wednesday, Nicolás Maduro criticized that Spain celebrates October 12 as a holiday because – he said – that date for America represents the beginning of “genocide, extermination, slavery, colonialism.”

«They go out on October 12 to celebrate Race Day, Spain’s Day, couldn’t they get another day? Because October 12 for all of America (…) is the day the genocide began (… ), it is no day to celebrate,” said the president in a televised event.

Maduro made these statements a day after the Parliament, controlled by Chavismo, approved a political agreement in which he urged the Spanish government to abolish the monarchy, considering it an institution linked to corruption and an “expression of the extreme right.” .

Parliament urged the Maduro government to break diplomatic, consular and commercial relations with Spain, in response to the decision of the Spanish Congress, which recognized the anti-Chavista Edmundo González Urrutia as elected president of Venezuela in the July 28 elections, whose official result gave victory to Maduro.

In that agreement, Parliament asked Maduro to evaluate, “in a peremptory time, the rupture of relations” with Spain, as well as a “reciprocal action for the rude and interfering proposal adopted in the Congress of Deputies” of the European country against ” “Venezuelan institutions.”
