President of the FVF recognizes Delcy Rodríguez as his boss

Jorge Giménez, president of the Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF), is a trusted figure of Vice President Delcy Rodríguez and refers to her as his boss.as revealed by an investigation into several open corruption cases in Spain.

Giménez is mentioned in a file presented by the Spanish Civil Guard before the National Court related to the case of Víctor de Aldama, a Spanish businessman investigated for corruption and organized crime.

The investigation by the Spanish authorities also includes the advisor to Pedro Sánchez’s government, also a businessman Koldo García, and the former Minister of Transportation, José Luis Ábalos, who was the one who received Delcy Rodríguez at the Barajas airport on January 20, 2020, despite the fact that the vice president, due to being sanctioned, could not enter the territory of the European Union (EU).

Text messages accessed by the Spanish Civil Guard reveal that on June 15, 2020, Víctor de Aldama sent the following message to Giménez: “I remind you that no matter how much you knew the boss, that business we did was because I put it up.” on the table, you made it happen.

The file drawn up by the Spanish police also states that Delcy Rodríguez organized, together with businessman Aldama, the negotiation of 104 gold bars worth more than 68 million dollars.

The authorities had access to this information after accessing a computer in Aldama where the PDF file of the gold contract to be negotiated was located.

The authorities’ document also reveals that the government of Pedro Sánchez knew about the arrival of Delcy Rodríguez to Barajas airport on January 20, 2020.

Aldama even had an agenda prepared for the Venezuelan vice president that included a visit to a doctor, various meals, a meeting with a representative of Duro Felguera and even a surprise party.

Sánchez admitted that former Minister José Luis Ábalos informed him of the visit of Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, as revealed by the Civil Guard, but this visit was canceled once he realized that sanctions were being imposed on her.
