Today’s Highlights:
A woman and her boyfriend are expected to be charged with attempted murder in connection to the Claxton Bay baby who was severely beaten and mistreated.
• They claimed the toddler was demon-possessed and inflicted all the injuries on herself, including burns with a clothes heater.
• Last week, Ian found out about the 1-year-old being abused while in the custody and care of her aunt in Marabella.
• He was able to locate the baby at her mother’s residence in Claxton Bay and immediately notified ACP Wayne Mystar after he realized the baby was gasping for breath and had other visible injuries.
Four (4) persons died as a result of suicide in less than one week.
A candlelight vigil will be held today, for 15-year-old Jayden Lalchan of Broomage Road, Princes Town, who committed suicide at his home on Wednesday 2nd October, 2024:
A man was found hanging at his home in Williamsville on Sunday 6th October, 2024.
• The deceased was identified as 39-year-old Roland Alleyne of Ben Lomond Village, Williamsville.
A man was found hanging from a bedsheet at his home in Tunapuna on Friday 4th October, 2024.
• The deceased was identified as 32-year-old Christopher Baptiste of Bamboo Hill, Tunapuna.
An elderly man who suffered from depression died after he ingested poisonous substances at his home in south Oropouche on Thursday 3rd October, 2024.
• The deceased was identified as 65-year-old Rohan Dabideen of Mon Desir Road, Dow Village, South Oropouche.
A 22-year-old woman attempted to commit suicide after having an altercation with her sister in Chaguanas on Sunday 6th October, 2024.
The murder toll now crosses 500 for the year thus far after four (4) murders were recorded between Saturday and Monday.
A body was found wrapped and at the bottom of a precipice along Geranium Avenue, Coconut Drive, Morvant on Monday 7th August, 2024.
A man who is yet to be identified was found shot to death in Upper Thomasine, La Pena Drive Extension, Laventille on Sunday 6th October, 2024.
The partially nude body of a woman was found stabbed to death at an abandoned house in Curepe on Saturday 5th October, 2024.
• The deceased was identified as 32-year-old Alana Roopchand of Bangladesh Village, St. Joseph.
The decomposing body of a man was found chopped to death at his home in Siparia on Saturday 5th October, 2024.
• The deceased was identified as 38-year-old Carlos Mahabir of Shabali Trace, Mendez Village, Siparia.
