National Security Minister Defends Decision To Deny Entry To Canadian

National Security Minister Fitzgerald Hinds is defending this country’s decision to deny a Canadian resident entry, due to the wrong mix of vaccines.

Mr. Hinds said this country did nothing wrong, since the individual, Allan Preddie, had taken a mix of Pfizer and Moderna vaccine in Canada, and, at the time, was not considered a fully vaccinated person in Trinidad and Tobago.

He adds that the TT Travel Pass system demands vaccinated information be filled out in order to be granted the Pass.

Mr. Hinds adds that even the Canadian Government has advised its citizens to familiarise themselves with the destination country’s public health regulations before travelling.
