«January 10 is an important date and we have to put all our forces in that direction»said Machado, in reference to the day marked for the winner of the last elections on July 28 to be sworn in as president of Venezuela, whom the opposition claims was Edmundo González Urrutia, despite the fact that the National Electoral Council (CNE) proclaimed victory. of Nicolás Maduro.

Machado assured that “Maduro is more isolated than ever” and Venezuelans committed to change have to “move forward, because there is no turning back and we are going to achieve it. “We don’t know when, but we’re going to get it.”

Leopoldo López, leader of Voluntad Popular – a party that participated in the presidential elections in coalition with María Corina Machado’s party – responded from Madrid to Machado: «you can count on us. Voices will come that want to divide, but those voices will not reach Popular Will.

Leopoldo López: “There will not be other elections until the last ones are respected”

López added that “there will not be other elections until the mandate of July 28 is respected,” in reference to the regional and municipal votes announced by the president of Venezuela.

“Maduro wants to bury on July 28, but he won’t be able to do it, nor will he be able to bury on January 10,” he said.

The candidate of the opposition coalition, Edmundo González, sent a recorded message in which he stressed that “we are aligned to ensure that the will expressed in the elections is respected.”

María Corina Machado added that “the world knows that Maduro is a torturer and a criminal” and “Venezuela is more united than ever,” because the coalition managed to “unite left and right, rich and poor, those inside and outside of Venezuela” in the fight against the “dictatorship.”

His words were heard by hundreds of Voluntad Popular militants who connected from Venezuela, Spain, Colombia, Ecuador and 23 other countries.
