A schoolgirl was knocked down at Bournes Road in St. James on Wednesday 23rd October 2024.
A man identified as Kwesi Wadada was shot and killed along the Rudolph Charles Link Road that connects Gonzales and Laventille on Wednesday 23rd October 2024.
an ex-murder accused has been identified as the man who was shot dead in Morvant on Monday 21st October 2024:
• The deceased is 37-year-old Anthony Contrera, aka Bussa, who originally hailed from Straker Lane in Tunapuna but was living at Trou Macaque Road in Laventille.
• He was shot after he left his workplace at Eastside Caterers, where he was employed as a cleaner around 1:30 p.m., along the Old St. Joseph Road in Morvant.
An 89-year-old Longdenville Pensioner died on Saturday 19th October 2024 after he reportedly ingested gramoxone.
• Deo Ramberan passed away at the Mt. Mope hospital where he was taken for treatment by EHS personnel. He was discovered unresponsive at his Longdenville old road home next to a bottle of gramoxone.
• A report was subsequently made to the police and officers of the Longdenville police post and the Central Division’s Crime Scene Unit visited the scene and seized a bottle with gramoxone.
Police are working on the theory that the suspects in the shooting of WPC Quianna Mahabir in Cunupia were on a robbery spree earlier that night.
• Mahabir, a drummer with the Police Service band, was shot in the head just after 1am. on Tuesday, 22nd October 2024, as she was about to drive into her Hydraulic Trace Caroni Apartment.
• A vehicle, which appeared to have been following her SUV, pulled up, and two men, one armed with a gun, emerged.
• The suspect attempted to open the driver’s door, but it was locked. the officer reportedly refused to open the door, and the angry suspect fired several shots at her before fleeing in his waiting vehicle.
• She was taken to the hospital and remains in the intensive care unit. Mahabir had moments earlier returned at the Piarco International Airport.
5-year-old boy’s fingertips severed after being crushed by school gate:
• The incident occurred at the Good Shepherd Anglican Primary school in Tunapuna on Monday 14th October, 2024.
• The incident took place during the lunch period and the tips of the child’s middle and ring fingers were severed by a gate. the child was taken to the mt hope hospital where he was treated.
A 65-year-old man’s right wrist was severed during an incident with a tenant at a property at Mootoo lands in Marabella on Sunday 20th October 2024:
• The victim, Kerron Williams aka Fish, was chopped about the body by the suspect identified as Mike Deonarinesingh, another tenant, who fled the scene before the police arrived.
• The wounding happened around 9pm at a property at 5th avenue, Mootoo Lands, Marabella, police said.
A female teenager was robbed at gunpoint while at a beach with other relatives in point-a-pierre on tuesday 22nd october 2024.
• Around 6:30pm on Tuesday 22nd October 2024, the victim, of Clarke Road in Penal, was at flower pot beach southern main road Pointe a Pierre with other family members when she was approached by two men, one armed with a gun.
• the suspects announced a robbery and relieved the victim of an iPhone 11 and $500.00 before fleeing on foot.
