US Presidential Election: Voters In Swing State Michigan Want Stability | RJR News

Voters in swing state Michigan in the United States are among those who are casting their ballots in the US presidential election.
Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris face off in one of the most tightly contested presidential races in US history.
Kalamazoo is a relatively small city located in southern Michigan, but it plays a big role in the election. Residents live in a swing state but they want stability for the next four years.
Michigan is one of the seven battleground states with seven million voters. Roughly 75,000 are in Kalamazoo. So every single vote counts.
“Yeah, my concern is with the future of this country. My family came here fleeing fascism from Spain and I want no part of it in this country,” said one voter.
“I really think in the last few years, not just since the last election, but just this is a general breakdown in our society with law and order and discipline… what we used to call manners, you know,” reasoned another voter, Sam Ramrattan, who immigrated from Trinidad and Tobago.
At the West Michigan University, the students are encouraging each other to vote.
“I think abortion really is my main one, and just overall having a presidential candidate that I think is gonna be optimistic to other ideas and just, like, be for the people. So I think that the person that I chose was very representative of that,” said a student voter.
Voting closes at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
