TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO PRISON SERVICE MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE 2024
On Sunday, November 3, 2024, the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service honored the memory of officers who lost their lives in the line of duty with a heartfelt Memorial Day Service. The ceremony began at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church and continued with a parade through the streets of Arouca to the Memorial Garden at the Golden Grove facility. The event, attended by the Prison Service Executive, 1st and 2nd division officers, and families of the fallen, was a moving tribute to their bravery and service.
In his remarks, Commissioner of Prisons (Ag), Mr. Carlos Corraspe, reflected on the 28 officers who had made the ultimate sacrifice, emphasizing the resolve of the Service to stand on the side of right despite the profound losses. As he poignantly stated, A Service Never Forgets, reminding all of the enduring spirit that connects the memories of these heroes with the mission of those who continue to serve.
