Key Points from National Security Minister Stuart Young’s Media Conference – Friday January 22nd 2021:

A new system for persons planning to enter or exit T&T will be implemented from Monday January 25th, 2021. According to National Security Minister Stuart Young, this online IT-driven system is similar to a VISA application.

Some unique features include:
– The assignment of a unique ID number.
– You can only fill out the form once.
– The form will used as a Statutory Declaration.

Minister Young noted that Immigration officials will be verifying the information on the forms. Persons who have already applied for exemptions will need to re-apply via the online system.

As of yesterday, 19,941 applications were made to enter T&T, and 11,682 exemptions have been granted.
