Urruchurtu also recalled that the Argentine embassy is under the protection of the Brazilian government, since Venezuela broke relations with the administration of Javier Milei for not recognizing the results of the presidential elections of July 28.
Also at the diplomatic headquarters are: Magalli Meda, María Corina Machado’s campaign manager; former deputy Omar González, member of Voluntad Popular (VV); Claudia Macero, VV Communications Coordinator; Humberto Villalobos, electoral coordinator of the VV Campaign Command; and former minister Fernando Martínez Mottola, advisor to the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD).
For now, the reasons for this new siege are unknown. However, it occurs shortly after María Corina Machado announced a large protest for December 1.
«Everyone knows what happened on July 28 and everyone knows that Venezuela will be free. It is up to us to lead this process and ensure, as we are doing, that each of the different actors, inside and outside the country, do their part,” Machado said in a digital meeting with international activists.
In the statement he spoke about the decision that Maduro must make: “His only option is to accept a negotiation with us and for that we have to act now. This first (of December) is going to be a unique, unprecedented protest. “The entire world is going to concentrate on the cause of a country that has decided to advance to the end.”
