Rains cause havoc this November 23 in Zulia
The heavy rainfall that was recorded this Saturday, November 23 in the state of Zulia caused flooding and the disappearance of a young man, who jumped into the Fénix ravine, in the Zulia neighborhood.
Engerhbert Atencio, commander of the Zulia state Fire Department, told Unión Radio that work began to find him.
«Our rescue team is already on site carrying out search work in the entire part of the ravine from end to end with all the machinery of the Fire Department, Civil Protection, PoliMaracaibo, National Guard, Mayor’s Office of Maracaibo , clinging to the search for the young man’s body,” he said.
Rains in Zulia
In the report given by Adrián Romero, mayor in charge of Maracaibo, he indicated: “The Antonio Borjas Romero parish that borders Benancio Pulgar are the two parishes in the west of the city most affected, we also have reports in the Idelfonso Vásquez parish and our entire team is already in the 18 parishes in other sections of the city.”
After this, he commented: “We already had floods in Arismendi, Santa Rosa de Agua and there the water levels have been dropping, the situation is completely under control.”
Another report that Unión Radio gave was about the collapse of a home in the Los Haticos sector.
It is expected that the rains will continue in the entity in the next few hours. This is due to the atmospheric instability found in the Caribbean Sea.
