Sebin agents raid his residence in Yaracuy

Officials of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service They raided the residence of Biagio Pilieri in Chivacoa, Yaracuy state, denounced the political party Convergencia, which the opposition leader coordinates nationally.

The procedure took place hours after the arrest of the former deputy to the National Assembly, after he participated in a protest called by María Corina Machado and presidential candidate Edmundo González on Wednesday in eastern Caracas.

“We denounce that at this moment Sebin officials are raiding the home of our national coordinator Biagio Pilieri in Chivacoa, Yaracuy state. “We demand that political persecution stop!” Convergencia announced on social media.

How was Biagio Pilieri arrested?

The opposition leader Biagio Pilieri was arrested after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Officials of the Bolivarian National Intelligence ServiceHe was “intercepted” after participating in the protest against the results of the presidential elections on July 28, given by the National Electoral Council and validated by the Supreme Court of Justice.

Pilieri was with his son Jesús Alfredo, his escort Hirber Javier The Red Girl and another person, all detained during the procedure reported as irregular.

His wife Maria Livia de Pilieri denounced in a video: «They were chased, attacked and taken into custody, we don’t know where, “So we are distressed and worried as a family.”

This fact was rejected by María Corina Machado.

«Biagio is a great friend and a great ally, a man who when he gives his word, he commits. He knew the risk he was taking and yet he accompanied the Venezuelans in Caracas as a testimony of responsibility and dedication to this cause.” the opposition leader said.

Machado said that the Nicolás Maduro regime has completely lost its sense of reality and stated that this is “one more sign of its collapse.”
