The National Union of Press Workers (SNTP) warned about the transfer of journalist Yousner Alvarado from the state of Barinas to an unknown destination, according to a publication by the union on the social network X on Friday, August 30.

Alvarado had been detained since July 29, the day after the presidential elections, while covering a demonstration in the city of Barinas. Family and friends of the Venezuelan reporter do not know his whereabouts while neighbors in the area where he was being taken tried to stop the vehicle carrying the press worker from moving forward.
