Barbados to lead Caribbean Tourism Organisation until 2026

After two years as chair of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation (CTO), the Cayman Islands has officially handed over the role to Barbados. Barbados was selected as the new chair following a vote at the CTO’s Annual General Meeting on Tuesday.

Ian Gooding-Edghill, Barbados’ Minister of Tourism and International Transport, will assume the role of chairman. He replaces Kenneth Bryan, the outgoing CTO chairman and Minister of Tourism and Ports of the Cayman Islands. The announcement came during the opening ceremony of the CTO’s State of the Tourism Industry Conference.

Rosa Harris, the outgoing Chairman of the CTO Board of Directors and Director of the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism, transferred her role to Andrea Franklyn, CEO of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc.
