Man who burned his partner alive in Morón was arrested

Officials from the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (CICPC) arrested Gregorio Cruz, 45 years old, after he was accused of burning his partner alive in the Juan José Mora municipality, Morón parish, in the state of Carabobo.

On the day of the incident, August 18, Lorean Doris Vásquez, 26, was at home drinking alcohol. Suddenly, an argument arose with Cruz, because the young woman did not want to continue the relationship.

Faced with this, the man decided to take a container with fuel and He sprayed it on the young woman and on himself, and then set it on fire, reported El Carabobeño.

The two were caught in the flames and taken to the Dr Adolfo Prince Lara Hospital in Puerto Cabello, where it was determined that they had second-degree burns. The young woman died last weekend.

Vásquez was originally from Tucacas, Silva municipality, Falcón state.

The victim was identified as Lorean Doris Vasquez, 26 years old.
