PM Rowley: Borders Closed For Safety

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley is rubbishing claims that his Government is only allowing supporters of the People’s National Movement back into the country so they can vote while suppressing the return of voters from other parties.

Speaking at the Opening of the Bagatelle Community Centre in Diego Martin, the Prime Minister said claims from the Opposition Leader that refugees from Venezuela would be allowed to vote here in Trinidad and Tobago are misleading and spurious.

The Prime Minister said the borders remain closed to keep the country safe and not to keep voters out.

He is calling for good sense to prevail over politics.
