Man killed his friend in Guarenas to rob him

A man identified as Maikol Aníbal Jiménez Ojeda, 30 years old, He shot and killed a sexagenarian with whom he had a close friendship on Saturdayat his home in the Nueva Casarapa Urbanization, in Guarenas, Miranda state.

The investigation led by officials from the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (CICPC) determined that Jiménez Ojeda went on Saturday afternoon to the apartment of the citizen identified as Luis Alberto Sandrea, 64 years old, who worked as general manager of a well-known supermarket chain in the El Alambique sector, building 05-D.

The victim was unaware that Jiménez Ojeda, with whom he had a close friendship, He had gone with the intention of robbing him because he knew he had valuables and cash.

Two arrested for the murder of a supermarket manager in Guarenas

At around 4:00 pm, the murderer accompanied the victim to drop off a woman who had been cleaning the house during the morning and then they went to a supermarket to do some shopping. When they returned to the property in Guarenas, the subject shot Luis Alberto Sandrea in the head.

After committing the crime, the criminal took food, cash, perfumes, electronic items and the victim’s credit cards from the house, according to crime reporter Román Camacho.

Cicpc officers assigned to the Guarenas homicide investigation division began investigations after finding the body in the house on Monday, August 26.

Detectives were able to solve the case and arrested Maikol Ojeda on the afternoon of August 31. They also arrested Wilber Alexander a Ruiz Isturiz, 39 years old, who allegedly provided the firearm used in the murder.
