Malick man gunned down near home
A 49-year-old man of Malick, Barataria, who was shot on Wednesday morning, has succumbed to his injuries.
He has been identified as Emerine Harewood of Florencia Lane, Upper 6th Avenue, Malick, Barataria.
Harewood was a worker employed with the Maintenance Training and Security Company.
A police report stated that around 6:21 am on Wednesday (September 4, 2024), loud explosions were heard at Upper 6th Avenue, Malick, Barataria.
On arrival at 6:30 am, police found Harewood lying on the road, nursing multiple gunshot wounds. He was then placed in a marked police vehicle and taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex for medical attention.
However, Harewood was later pronounced dead.
Investigations continue.
