Indonesian national found dead in vessel at Labidco Port

Police are investigating the death of a foreign national aboard a vessel at Labidco Port in La Brea yesterday. 

Purwant Heru, 40, an Indonesian National, was employed as a welder.
Police enquires revealed that  Heru arrived in Trinidad on September 4 to work on board cargo vessel “Stinnes Tassat” at the Labidco Port.
However, around 12:15am on Friday he was discovered unresponsive on a bed in his cabin.

La Brea Police and officers of Homicide Bureau South visited the scene. Police said the body had no visible marks of violence.

Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine his cause of death.

Enquiries are continuing.
