Screening for Mickela Panday’s Patriotic Front begins Sept 21

Political leader of Patriotic Front Mickela Panday is once again putting out the call to be a candidate for her party for the upcoming general election. 

She posted on her social media pages, “BECOME A CANDIDATE FOR THE PF NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN. CALL 1(868) 689-8936 SCREENING WILL BEGIN SATURDAY 21st SEPTEMBER 2024. Your ideas, your passion, your commitment to change these are what we need now more than ever. If you’ve ever felt the call to serve this is your moment.”

She noted that September 21 is also the International Day of Peace. 

In a video attached to the statement, she said Trinidad and Tobago is a nation in crisis and more than ever the country needs people who are not afraid to face the challenges head-on. 

“We need leaders with integrity. Leaders who love this country; and are ready to put service before self,” she said. 

She said she is looking for people who are ready to lead with “principle and purpose.” 

“If you believe in honesty, accountability and the power of the people, now is your time to act. Our future depends on it,” she said. 

Panday first launched the Patriotic Front in 2019. She relaunched her election bid on May  26 and had opened up nominations on the next day for the party. 

It’s unclear how many people have already signed up to be a part of  PF.
