Access to Top Hill restricted after “road failure”

Access to Top Hill, Pembroke in Tobago will be restricted for one week after the “failure” of a significant portion of the road on Monday.
This is according to the Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and Urban Development (DIQUD).
The Division said while carrying out excavation works for a retaining wall, major movements of the soil occurred, leading to the undermining of the road at both surface and sub-levels. The Roxborough District Team found that the soil was oversaturated from excessive flows from a nearby culvert.
