Laventille residents promise to end war
A promise from the Laventille Community that the killing spree experienced last weekend has come to an end. Laventille residents have agreed in principle to put down their guns and bring an end to the violent uprising that saw the army being deployed in the area to keep the peace last weekend. It came at a meeting in Laventille last night with National Security Minister Jack Warner and Police Commissioner Stephen Williams. But residents also called on those in authority to treat Laventille equally and provide more for the community. Khamal Georges takes a look.
