Opposition leader Juan Pablo Guanipa reacted after Diosdado Cabello, Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, made accusations against him for alleged arms trafficking.

«I am not a regular at low-quality gossip shows that do not suit someone who acts as a high-ranking official, even if he is from a dictatorial regime. Diosdado is an expert in false accusations“, Guanipa declared in a video posted on social network X Sunday, September 15th.

The leader of the Primero Justicia party said that Cabello acts in a completely different way from what it means to be a patriot and asserted that “even if he dresses in silk, he remains a tyrant,” thus rejecting the accusations against him.

Various human rights organizations have warned that the Venezuelan government has increased its repressive mechanisms against citizens and political leaders opposed to the regime, mainly since July 29, one day after the presidential elections held in Venezuela in which the CNE declared Nicolás Maduro the winner, while the opposition denounced that the results were false and that Edmundo González Urrutia was the winner with more than 60% of the votes.

«Pointing out Maduro is not pointing out Venezuela»

Juan Pablo Guanipa He questioned the fact that the Maduro regime uses a discourse of alleged attacks against Venezuela, when the accusations are against his government and not against the people.

“If they attack Maduro, they are attacking Venezuela, he says that Venezuela has lived through moments of pure attacks and under constant siege by imperialism. Venezuela has been under constant siege by the dictatorship of which Cabello is a part, an unscrupulous dictatorship and we have had to make decisions and take actions to defend ourselves,” added Guanipa.

The leader reiterated that the Chavista regime has disturbed the peace of the country for 25 years and after July 28, they “threw the electoral system into the trash,” which he accused of producing a “false bulletin.”
