Identity of man found dead in Couva drain confirmed
Arnold Pooran, a 19-year-old from Friendship Village, San Fernando, has been identified as the man found dead in a drain behind a business in Couva on Sunday, September15th.
Pooran, who is originally from Spring Trace, Warden Road, Point Fortin, had been reported missing after his family last heard from him on Thursday, September12th.
He reportedly told his mother he was “going with a friend to hustle” before leaving his home.
Pooran, along with two other men, allegedly broke into Casa Enterprises on Southern Main Road Mc Bean, Couva. They were subsequently pursued by police and security officers.
Pooran’s body was discovered in a drain behind the business place on Sunday.
In addition, hybrid batteries which had been stolen from several vehicles on the company’s compound were found hidden in nearby bushes.
