The Fashion Division of the Trinidad and Tobago Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, in partnership with NEDCO, proudly hosted a grand Brunch and Fashion Show as part of the nation’s Independence celebrations. The event, held under the theme “A Gift to the Nation: To Trinbago with Love,” took place on September 1 at the historic Mille Fleurs, Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain.
This exclusive event was a highlight of the wider “Handmade Art and Fashion Gala”, a weekend-long celebration of local creativity. The fashion show, which began at 3 p.m., featured stunning collections from some of Trinidad and Tobago’s most esteemed designers, including The Cloth, SM Warner, Art with Attitude, and Shaun Griffith Perez. The event beautifully showcased the vibrant talent and unique artistry that the nation’s fashion industry has to offer.
Guests were treated to a delightful brunch followed by a captivating display of fashion, where each designer’s work was met with admiration and applause. The enchanting setting of Mille Fleurs provided the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of elegance and national pride. The “Handmade Art and Fashion Gala”, of which this event was a part, also featured a variety of vendors specialising in local fashion, jewelry, and crafts. This initiative underscored the ongoing commitment of the Fashion Division and NEDCO to support and promote local artisans, ensuring that the creative industry continues to thrive and contribute to the nation’s cultural and economic landscape.
