Aché Abrahams officially declared 2nd Runner-Up in Miss World 2024

Aché Abrahams, Miss World Trinidad and Tobago, has officially been named the 2nd runner-up in Miss World 2024. Miss World quietly confirmed this on their website nearly six months after the competition, where only the winner and first runner-up were announced publicly.

On Tuesday, the Miss Trinidad and Tobago Facebook page updated with a post stating: “Aché Abrahams has been officially declared the 2nd runner-up of Miss World 2024. On the final night, only the winner and first runner-up were announced. The results are now officially posted on the Miss World website. Here is the link – https://www.missworld.com/contestants/2023.”

When contacted on Wednesday, Miss World T&T franchise holder Charu Lochan Dass commented: “The Miss World T&T Franchise congratulates Aché Abrahams on placing 2nd runner-up at the 71st Miss World Pageant. We look forward to producing more talent, role models, and competent young women to represent Trinidad and Tobago.”

On March 19, 2024, a crowd of enthusiastic supporters welcomed Abrahams back to Piarco International Airport after her top-four finish in the 71st Miss World Pageant at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai, India. 

Abrahams shared her joy, reflecting on her performance: “The crown would have been great, but winning the hearts of my people is all I needed. I feel so blessed to have done that.” She also expressed her commitment to her role as Miss World Caribbean: “Already, my heart was full representing T&T. Now, representing the beautiful Caribbean region, I know it’s a great responsibility, and I’m ready to be the voice for all of us.”

Social Development Minister Donna Cox, who attended the event, praised Abrahams for her achievements and expressed the government’s support for her future projects, especially her “Invisible Scars” initiative, which focuses on mental health advocacy.
