  • Oct, Thu, 2024

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has issued a Yellow Level Adverse Weather Alert for Trinidad and Tobago which comes into effect at 5 pm this afternoon, extending until 12 pm tomorrow, Friday October 25th.

According to the TTMS, “a Tropical Wave combined with relatively strong low level winds is expected to impact weather conditions from this evening into tomorrow.”

The main impacts are expected to be from gusty winds which can accompany thunderstorms. These gusts may exceed 55 km/h and can displace unsecured outdoor objects, cause weak trees or branches to fall as well as lead to choppy seas.

The TTMS is advising the public to secure loose outdoor objects and exercise extra caution in marine activities.
