Authorities in El Paso, Texas, arrested an illegal Venezuelan migrant identified as Estefanía Primera, nicknamed La Barbie, on September 27.who is accused of running a sex trafficking ring, allegedly linked to the dangerous band Tren de Aragua.

The woman allegedly led the criminal activities from the Getaway Hotel, which was recently closed due to multiple complaints about illegal activities. Besides, She is accused of using her five young children as drug mulesaccording to reports obtained by the media New York Post.

The outlet’s sources indicated that a victim of sex trafficking identified Primera as the leader of a group of prostitutes that were illegally introduced into the United States.

This person said that alias La Barbie gave her a pill with fentanyl that left her unconscious. Upon regaining consciousness, she found several men abusing her, causing her severe injuries.

When she tried to escape, Primera forced her to return to the hotel, repeatedly attacking her with punches and kicks.

The arrest occurred in front of the Sacred Heart Church in El Paso, a shelter for migrants recently arrived in the United States.

He crossed the border illegally in August 2023 with his family. At that time he told Border Patrol agents that he was headed to Illinois and was under electronic monitoring by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. However, weeks later, he removed his ankle monitor, according to Department of Homeland Security sources.

Primera is currently being held in an El Paso jail on $200,000 bail.

The Aragua Train has been linked to forced prostitution rings in eight US states, including California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada, New Jersey, New York and Texas.
