Are there flights available from Venezuela to Panama?
The Venezuelan Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies confirmed that for the moment there is no flights available from Venezuela to key destinations such as Panama, Peru, Chile and the Dominican Republic. This situation keeps thousands of passengers without direct access to those countries and affects tourists and business travelers.
Vicky Herrera de Díaz, president of Avavit, pointed out that travel agencies are waiting for an official communication from the aeronautical authorities that clarify the situation and allow for the possible resumption of those services.
The board explained, in an interview with Globovisionthat the uncertainty around these routes generates inconveniences for users and affects the travel industry, which, faced with high demand, cannot satisfy it with direct flights.
The loss of direct access to these destinations, he said, forces many passengers to look for alternatives through indirect routes.
Colombia has become an important hub which allows travelers to connect with other countries. Likewise, the island of Curacao has emerged as an additional option to access destinations outside the reach of direct routes from Venezuela.
Although these options exist, they present additional challenges.
Indirect connections usually increase the cost and duration of journeys. Not having direct flights makes travel more expensive and lengthens transfer times, which affects not only travelers but also the competitiveness of tourism in the country.
