Businessman kidnapped, $3 million ransom demanded
Last evening’s kidnapping of Suvesh Ramnarine, by men dressed like police officers, is one of three in central Trinidad in the last four months. A ransom demand of $3 million has been made for Ramnarine’s safe return. Chaguanas mayor Faaiq Mohammed is calling the kidnapping a direct attack on the business community in central and Chaguanas. He is now concerned business owners are considering taking matters into their own hands through vigilante justice.
