COVID-19 Positive Prisoners In Tobago Successfully Transferred To Trinidad
The 13 prisoners from Tobago who tested Positive for COVID-19 have been successfully transferred to Trinidad by the Coast Guard.
Confirmation came from the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development.
In Its COVID-19 update today, the Division says officials from the Ministry of National Security have inspected a facility in Tobago that is earmarked for use as a “Temporary Prison” to isolate COVID-19 Positive prisoners on the island.
The Division says additional works must be done on the facility before final approval can be given.
This is expected within the next week.
